What: Oh Yes I Can: An Art & Music Party
When: Saturday, December 9th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Where: Crooked Tooth Brewing, 28 E. 6th Street

Give back to the community this weekend! Crooked Tooth Brewing has two large boxes that need to be filled for the Tucson Community Food Bank.

This will be a night of art and music featuring Works on Paper by Marcy Ellis (see Marcy Ellis’ work for Edible Baja Arizona) and Songs You’ve Missed by Cate and The Plurals. Crooked Tooth suggests bringing three cans of food with you to this event.


What: Historic Fourth Avenue Winter Street Fair
When: Friday, December 8th – Sunday, December 10th
Where: Historic Fourth Avenue, 434 E. 9th Street

Get all of your holiday shopping done locally at the Historic Fourth Avenue Street Fair. There will be over 300 artists from around the world, 40 decadent food vendors, and over 20 local musicians performing on two stages.

And by supporting the Fair, you’re supporting the North Fourth Avenue Merchants Association, Inc., a local nonprofit. The funds are used to support the Avenue’s infrastructure, invest in local neighborhoods and other nonprofits, and to create other free community events throughout the year on Historic Forth Avenue.

Free shuttle service is provided from the Pennington Street Garage and the Tyndall Avenue Garage by VIP Taxi. Or, you can use the Sun Link!

What: Why I Love Where I Live: Holiday Pop Up Shop
When: Friday, December 8th – Sunday, December 10th
Where: Mercado San Agustin, 100 South Avenida del Convento

Now you’ll be able to shop from Why I Love Where I Live in person! They’ll be setting up at the Mercado San Agustin where they’ll have their most popular products, a few seasonal items, and couple fun surprises along the way!

What: Squeegees and CREAM with Danny Martin
When: Saturday, December 9th from 7:00pm to 11:00pm
Where: R Bar,  350 E Congress St Ste 110

CREAM Design and Print is hosting a pop-up shop at R Bar featuring live screen printing and limited edition art prints by Danny Martin and other CREAM gear. This limited edition gear would make great Christmas gifts!

Danny Martin has made some new original works available only at Squeegees and CREAM. They’ll be screen printing on to shirts, tote bags or whatever else you want to bring!

What: Tamale Making 101
When: Sunday, December 10th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Tis the season for tamales! Learn to make authentic tamales in this hands-on class. Daniela will walk you through the step-by-step process of preparing the tamale masa & red chile. You’ll be given the ingredients to make a half-dozen tamales as well as instructions on how to cook the tamales in your own home.

No experience is required and all supplies will be provided.

The cost is $30 per person and includes a 1912 beer. Must be 21 and older.

Class will be limited to 20 people and  space is quickly running out. Buy your tickets now!
