You’re invited to join local food producers, distributors, and other industry members at the 7th Annual Farmer+Chef Connection.

July 25, 2016

Upcoming Events

What: The 7th Annual Farmer + Chef Connection
When: Monday, September 12th from 11:00am to 6:00pm
Where: Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church Ave., Tucson, AZ 85701

I think that in a perfect world we would all know where our food came from and who prepared it and it would also taste AMAZING (I’d also have one million dollars in my bank account, but that’s beside the point)! That can’t be too much to ask for, right? The folks behind the Arizona Farmer + Chef Connection seem to agree with me, and are helping make my dreams come true!

Arizona Farmer+Chef aims to bring together local food producers and wholesale food buyers from restaurants, hotels, and other facilities and organizations from across the state to build one of a kind food networks focused on local sourcing from Arizona producers. During this event there will be a series of breakout workshops and the opportunity to meet those with similar interests – food interests to be precise.

If you happen to be in the food business, then you’ll want to make sure you do not miss the Suppliers’ Marketplace, a vendor fair exclusively showcasing Arizona food producers and distributors, and the following reception will feature local food, beer, wine and spirits. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to meet local purveyors of quality dairy, meats, produce, and baked goods, plus much more.

If you’re not in the food business, but love food, then you are cordially invited to the Awards Reception (featuring Arizona beer and wine) taking place after the Suppliers’ Marketplace, hosted by Bite Magazine. At the reception, attendees can continue networking and building relationships over a locally prepared meal while celebrating their colleagues being recognized for their efforts in promoting Arizona’s local food economy. Details will be announced shortly on how to submit nominations for awards.

Who should especially attend:

•   Arizona farmers and food and beverage producers prepared to transact at a wholesale level
•   Buyers and managers for grocery stores and markets
•   Chefs, restaurant owners and management
•   Hotels and catering businesses
•   Hospitals, senior and human service institutions, health and wellness centers
•   Education and government food service procurement personel
•   Purchasers and managers for grocery stores and markets
•   Any entrepreneur, food service professional, or member of the public that is dedicated to building a better community, environment and economy through local food supply chains
