5 Things to do in
Baja Arizona this Weekend

Stop your spring cleaning and venture out for one of these great local events.

May 12, 2017

Upcoming Events
  1. Verde Valley Wine Festival: Okay, so the Verde Valley Wine Festival isn’t technically in Baja Arizona. However, the drive up to Clarkdale will give you the chance to escape the rapidly increasing temperatures in order to taste 10 local wines as you listen to live music and learn from guest viticulture lecturers. Learn more here.

  2. 3rd Annual Bluesy Zuzi!: If you love dancing, raising money to support the arts, and sipping on local beer and wine, you’ll love the 3rd Annual Bluesy Zuzi. Dance the night away to the tune of live music as you raise money to give others access to dance classes. Lean more here.

  3. Palo Verde & Nopal Harvest Workshop and Feast: Did you know that the palo verde trees and prickly pear cacti in your yard are more than just pretty landscaping tools? Learn how to get the most of these desert plants in this hands-on workshop that ends with our favorite thing: A feast! Learn more here.

  4. Take your mom to eat for free: Show your mom how much you love her by taking her out to eat… for free! El Charro Café, Charro Steak, Sir Vezas, and Nineteen 22 are offering free meals for moms this Mother’s Day.

  5. Mother’s Day Spring Tea Tasting at Seven Cups: Grab your mom or a friend (or both!) and head to Seven Cups to taste six freshly made teas from 2017’s early spring season. While you’re there, grab a shortbread cookie from Small Batch Bakery to nibble as you sip. Half of the proceeds from this tasting event will benefit Pawsitively Cats No-Kill Shelter.
In the Seven Cups shop in Tucson, Zhuping shows how to prepare a pot of tea for brewing.
