What: Around the Globe Culinary Tour
When: May 30th through November 13th
Where: DOWNTOWN Kitchen + Cocktails, 135 S. 6th Ave. Tucson, AZ 85701

Make your way to Spain, Brazil, China, and Lebanon, metaphorically of course, through the annual DOWNTOWN Kitchen + Cocktails Around the Globe Culinary Tour. Beginning on May 30th and continuing through November 13th, you’ll have the option to dine from a specially crafted menu for each international destination as well as from their ever-evolving dinner menu (mmm… pork-belly donuts).

Headed by Chef Janos Wilder, the DOWNTOWN Kitchen and Carriage House culinary teams will create authentic menus emphasizing the technique, ingredients and unique culinary sensibility of each city.  The stops on this tour include:

  • Dénia, Spain – May 30 – July 17
    • Class and Dinner – June 16
  • Florianópolis, Brazil ­–  July 18 – August 21
    • Class and Dinner – July 21
  • Shunde, China – August 22 – October 2
    • Class and Dinner – August 18
  • Zahlé, Lebanon – October 3 – November 13
    • Class and Dinner September 29

There will be a special cooking class preceding the launch of each international menu (apart from Spain) at the Carriage House. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about the culinary history of each region and enjoy a full dinner featuring a variety of dishes offered on the tour. The evening will include a demonstration class, recipes, followed by hors d’oeuvres, a five-course dinner and beverages.

The cost for the class and dinner is $80 per person plus tax and gratuity. The menu details for the upcoming class/dinner will be posted on the Carriage House website and Facebook page. Reservations can be made at
