Drinks in the Desert

It’s no surprise that National Bourbon Day and Father’s Day land in the same week. Fortunately, if your father isn’t a Bourbon drinker, Three Wells has you covered. With their ever-growing spirits line, Three Wells has something for everyone, any day of the week.

Three Wells’ latest release is a very crisp and clean Vodka; the sort of Vodka you see in movies in which a Don Draper-esque character pours himself a glass (neat, of course) and promptly drinks it down with gusto. Oh yeah, it’s that good.

The Three Wells Vodka joins an award-winning line of spirits, including the Sonora Silver, Copper, and Gold, all distilled from local prickly pear cactus fruit; the Agave Silver and Reposado, distilled in the Tequila tradition; and the Mt. Lemmon Gin, crafted with hand-harvested alligator juniper from Mt. Lemmon and local creosote and citrus. Three Wells  has a barrel aged Agave and a Bourbon in the works as well; now would be a good time to start expanding your home bar.

Speaking of bar, there’s nothing better than enjoying a refreshing cocktail in the comfort of your own home. Co-founder/Distiller Matt Montgomery seemed to agree, which is why he concocted the traditional cocktails below using his Three Wells spirits. These recipes can easily be replicated at home with easy-to-find ingredients. Though Matt doesn’t fancy himself a mixologist, I will say that his creativity has elevated even the most classic of cocktails.
