On our wonderful blog we’re always talking about delicious food to fill your belly with, but what about brain food? The University of Arizona CALS Nutritional Sciences Department has you covered. Learn to “feed your genome” at the Research Frontiers in Nutritional Sciences Conference. There is an outstanding line up of international speakers who will share the science and practice of precision nutrition, with a focus on practical application. Ah yes, emphasis on practical – unlike my 700hp, 15 miles to the gallon, 2-seat sports car (kidding).

Conference speakers include:

  • Patrick Stover, Ph.D., Cornell University
  • Sharon Ross, Ph.D., National Institutes of Health
  • Steven Zeisel, MD, Ph.D., University of North Carolina
  • Penny Kris-Etherton, Ph.D., RDN, Penn State University

The $250 conference registration fee includes 2 full days of science at the University of Arizona and an opening night reception at the Environment and Natural Resources 2 Building. The opening night reception will be a fun, healthy living event honoring Tucson’s designation as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy so naturally, there will be food and wine. Dr. Ski Chilton, distinguished guest and author of the Gene Smart Diet, will be in attendance as well. This evening event is also open to the public and tickets may be purchased separately for $40 here.

This conference is appropriate for health professionals, educators, students, scientists, and the interested public. Dietitians and Family and Consumer Sciences Professionals may be eligible for continuing education units. More information can be found here.

This conference is going to be jam-packed with information. You can take a look at the agenda here. Register now!
