Want to Work with Us?
We should talk.
Do you love Edible Baja Arizona? Are you a huge fan of the incredible, locally owned businesses in this region and want to help them reach more customers? Do you enjoy working with a passionate, creative team of professionals in a positive and casual work environment?
We’re looking for readers of the magazine who want to join our team, either full or part-time, to work with businesses that might benefit from becoming advertising partners with our award-winning magazine.
Part-Time: If you have no prior sales or media experience, that’s fine. We are most interested in folks who are enthusiastic about our mission, excellent communicators, and with a desire to help local businesses succeed. We are happy to provide training and support in a low-pressure environment. Compensation is commission-based.
Full-Time: If you are a media sales professional who is passionate about our mission and is looking for a change, we’d love to talk with you about opportunities at Edible. Digital advertising experience a plus. Compensation commensurate with experience, based on performance objectives.
You would be working directly with publisher Doug Biggers. In addition to founding Edible Baja Arizona in 2013, he was the co-founder of the Tucson Weekly and its editor and publisher for nearly 17 years, and was instrumental in reviving and rebranding the Rialto Theatre from 2004-2011. A near native of Tucson and a graduate of the University of Arizona, Doug is committed to the long-term mission of transforming the Baja Arizona food system while celebrating its rich gastronomic culture with every beautiful issue of Edible Baja Arizona.
You’ll be supported by a team of committed professionals, including Kate Kretschmann, Business Coordinator, a cheerful stickler for details and expert wrangler of all our advertising data; Chloe Tarvin, Ad Designer, a super-talented graphic designer who works in-house to create gorgeous ads for our clients. And the rest of the Edible team: Megan Kimble, Editor; Steve McMackin, Art Director; and Shelby Thompson, Online Editor.
Edible Baja Arizona is locally owned, independent, and a supporter of Local First Arizona and other initiatives to build a strong local food economy.
