This weekend, transport yourself to the 1870’s; you know, the fun times with all the beer and food. Join the Arizona History Museum at History on Tap for an evening of merriment, delicious local craft beer, and pub fare. There will be a re-creation of Levin’s Park with a costumed interpretation of Tucson’s historic brewers, including Alexander Levin, John Spring, and George Hand. The 4th Cavalry Regimental Band will be playing and there will be talks featuring the “History of Brewing” by Dr. Bill Peterson and “Early Tucson Restaurants” by Shirley Pinkerton and Virginia Ginn.
Just like a nice cold beer on a summer day, History on Tap is going to be something to look forward to. It is a wonderfully fitting way to pay homage to the man in charge of Tucson’s original nightlife downtown. Take a look at the breweries and food vendors in attendance.
