Imagine that Italy and Arizona came together to create one truly delicious Italian meal inspired by local Sonoran ingredients. Good news! In partnership with the University of Arizona College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, The Magellan Circle and Slow Foods, Maynards Market and Kitchen is making this dream a reality.
Through their new Guest Chef Dinner Series, Maynards Market and Kitchen is inviting renowned chefs into the kitchen to create innovative, collaborative meals that can’t be found anywhere else. The Italy Meets AZ dinner will be the first of Maynards Market and Kitchen’s Guest Chef Dinners, and they’re starting the series with a bang. Chef Simona Fabrizio, from Orvieto, Italy, will join Marynards Market and Kitchen Executive Chef Brian Smith to create a six-course Italian dinner that shines a glorious light on the unique local ingredients available in the Sonoran desert.
In true Italian fashion, Chefs Fabrizio and Smith will wait until to see which local ingredients are available before they create the six-course menu for the dinner. So, while the exact details of the Italy Meets AZ dinner have yet to be revealed, one thing is for certain: each course will be truly inspired by the local and seasonal ingredients available in Baja Arizona. Visit MaynardsTucson.com to learn more about the Italy Meets AZ Guest Chef Dinner.
Tickets to this one-of-a-kind dinner are $135 per person and can be purchased online.
