LEAF (Linking Edible Arizona Forests) Network is hosting one of the most valuable conferences of the year (century?), and you’re invited! In partnership with Tucson UNESCO City of Gastronomy and local organizations such as Iskashitaa Refugee Network, the Arizona Community Tree Council, and Desert Harvesters, the LEAF Network has organized a three-day conference for both professionals and community members to learn about planning, growing, and harvesting edible urban forests in Tucson.

Based on the lineup of presenters for the Planning, Growing and Harvesting Edible Urban Forests conference, you’re almost guaranteed to learn something new about edible forests in Baja Arizona. Take a look at the long list of esteemed speakers lined up for the three-day conference:

Audience: Technical and policy personnel from government, non-profit organizations and academic institutions and the public
Venue: Tucson Chinese Cultural Center, 1288 W River Rd, Tucson, AZ 85704
Day 1 Registration: $50 at leafnetworkaz.org

Day 2: Saturday, September 22, 2017, 8:30am to 4pm
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT in Planning, Growing & Harvesting Edible Urban Forests
Audience: Community members from Tucson and beyond
Venue: Tucson Chinese Cultural Center, 1288 W River Rd, Tucson, AZ 85704
Day 2 Registration: $40 at leafnetworkaz.org

Dat 3: TOURS OF TUCSON EDIBLE TREE SITES
Registration: $10 per site. Participants pre-register at leafnetworkaz.org for one or both sites.
