What: Tucson Village Farm Holiday Market Fundraiser
When: Friday, December 9th from 4:00 to 8:00pm
Where: Tucson Village Farm, 4210 N. Campbell Ave. Tucson, AZ 85719
Who says all Friday night plans need to involve happy hour or a night on the town? Tucson Village Farm is hosting a Holiday Market Fundraiser that is open to the public, kid-friendly and free (music to my ears!)! Celebrate the season, warm up with some hot cocoa and let the kiddos have a grand ole time!
• Hand-crafted items (perfect for holiday gifting)
• One-of-a-kind gifts for teachers
• Live music
• Winter produce
• Bread and soup
• (Most importantly) hot cocoa!
This would be a wonderful way to give back during this season of giving. In case you didn’t know, Tucson Village Farm (TVF) is a “working urban farm built by and for the youth of” the community. It is part of the Pima County Cooperative Extension and the University of Arizona, and it offers programs such as Tucson Village Farm’s Training Youth Leaders Through Horticulture (TYLTH), “Li’l Sprouts” for 2-5 year olds, Farm Camp, and U-Pick. These are just some of the programs that aim to prepare young people for making healthy life choices by teaching them to grow and prepare fresh food and empowering them to learn and connect more to agriculture and nutrition.
Bring the family out for an evening of fun and support a great cause!
