The University of Arizona Students for Sustainability encourages you to learn more about food insecurity and sustainable food systems at this year’s UA Food Day on October 19th. Attend this free event to explore local exhibitors, food, and various student and community organizations and to learn more about how you can contribute to making Tucson more sustainable.
UA Food Day is a local celebration of national Food Day, which takes place on October 24th. This year, the focus of Food Day is “Toward a Greener Diet,” and participants are encouraged to make changes in their own diets and solve food-related problems in their communities. The local Food Day celebration on October 19th will highlight The University of Arizona’s Campus Pantry, a non-profit organization committed to offering access to food staples for the food insecure at no cost. Attend this free event for local food, giveaways, and a great way to get involved in the Tucson community.
