Head to The Loft Cinema this Sunday to catch the premier of Dough! Co-Presented by the Tucson International Jewish Film Festival, The Prime Leaf, and Edible Baja Arizona, the opening screening of this quirky comedy about overcoming prejudice and finding redemption in unexpected places will include free challah bread samples, courtesy of Beyond Bread, before the 2:00pm screening on Sunday, May 1.

With a dwindling clientele at his Kosher bakery shop owner in London’s East End (“All of my regulars are either dead or moving away”), and the pressures of encroaching big box stores, 70-something baker Nat Dayan (Jonathan Pryce, “Game of Thrones”) reluctantly enlists the help of teenager Ayyash (Jerome Holder). When Ayyash’s secret side gig selling marijuana accidentally results in his stash falling into the mixing dough, the challah starts flying off the shelves and an unlikely friendship forms between the old Jewish baker and his young Muslim apprentice.
