Edible Baja Arizona is pairing up with local bike and music shop MetroGnome Music & Cycle To-Go to host a group ride-and-dine event on the evening of Saturday, April 23rd, as part of Tucson Bike Fest. If you’ve ever wanted to try out a folding bicycle, now is your chance – Cycle To-Go will have demo bikes by Brompton, Tern, and Montague available to borrow for the night’s ride, or you can feel free to ride your own bike as well. There will be three stops on the ride. First stop will be at Falora for a private dinner on the patio, second stop will be at Iron John’s Brewing Company for a beer tasting, and the final stop will be at Black Crown Coffee Co. to cap off the night!

Hop on a bike and tour mid-town Tucson on a night ride with Edible Baja Arizona and Cycle to Go, enjoying an evening of Napoli pizza, craft beer and coffee!
Cost: $20 per person (pays for dinner at Falora)
Borrowing a folding bicycle from Cycle To-Go is free of charge; just make sure to email email@example.com or call 520.320.3780 with your information no later than 4/21 to give them time to get a demo bike ready. On the day of, meet inside Cycle To-Go at 4:40 pm to get fitted for your demo bike. We will depart from the store at 5:00 pm. Bring a bike helmet and gloves if you have them. It will be dark on the way back, so bring lights and wear light colored or reflective clothing for the ride! Demo bikes will be set up with lights, and the ride will be on low-traffic neighborhood streets.
To start this ride we will head to Falora Pizza. There, we will enjoy a private, buffet-style dinner on Falora’s patio, featuring their specialty Napoli pesto and margherita pizzas. A choice of kale or caesar salad, iced tea, and San Pellegrino sparkling water is also included, and wine and beer will be available for purchase. To get to Falora, we will head west through the neighborhood behind the store, taking the 3rd Street bike route west to the Treat bikeway. We will then take Treat south past Broadway to Manchester and approach Falora from the back. After dinner, we will continue on to Iron John’s.
To get to Iron John’s Brewing Company, we will take Eastbourne south to Arroyo Chico, and then take Arroyo Chico west to Plumber. We will then head north on Plumer to Iron John’s. Iron John’s is a community-supported microbrewery that serves up IPAs, stouts, pale ales, and more. As part of our private tasting event, they will be offering free 1 oz. pours, in addition to having flights, pints, bottles, and growlers available for sale (and able to be held for pickup later).
From Iron John’s we will head to Black Crown Coffee Company. Black Crown is a great local coffee shop offering a selection of coffee and teas in a quirky, unmistakably Tucson atmosphere. To get to Black Crown we will head west from Iron John’s, taking Miles to Highland Ave, and then head north to the U of A Campus. We will then head to east on the 3rd street bike route to Black Crown Coffee. We’ll enjoy complimentary tastes of Black Crown’s signature blend as we learn about their roasting process, and anyone looking for a pick-me-up before heading home will have the opportunity to purchase full size drinks before we return to the store.

1. The ticket price of $20 includes all meals and beverages mentioned above. You’ll also have the option of purchasing wine, beer, coffee, and tea for an additional cost, as described above.
2. Borrowing a folding bicycle from Cycle To-Go is FREE! That said, if you want to borrow a bike, make sure to email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 520.320.3780 with your information no later than 4/21, so that they have time to get a demo bike ready to go.
