Have you ever wondered how in the world those prickly cholla buds on the cactus in your front yard transform into something deliciously edible? The hands-on cholla bud harvesting & processing workshop and feast at Bean Tree Farm this Saturday will teach you how to transform these common cholla buds into something you can bring to the dinner table. Participants will have the opportunity to work with the cholla buds hands-on, learning how to gather, process, and cook them. Then comes the feast! Participants will reward their hard work by dining on delicious cholla bed recipes, along with a selection of Bean Tree Farm’s wild, native, and seasonal foods The feast will be vegetarian and gluten-free friendly. Yum!
